DEIA is integral to Tread Kindly’s mission, and we always aim to foster a welcoming environment for diverse voices and perspectives through our coverage.

While we aim to amplify women-led businesses within the sustainable tourism space, our content is by no means exclusive to female or female-identifying audiences. As a global travel news website, we welcome all voices here.

Through research, audience listening and translation tools, we aim to be as culturally sensitive as possible to ensure that Tread Kindly is an inclusive community to readers, founders, as well as the local residents of the
destinations we cover.

We also conduct inclusive hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies, from ensuring that all hiring teams are diverse to providing mandatory diversity training for employees.

Our mission is to make sustainable travel more accessible to all through a freemium business model.
Tread Kindly empowers travelers to explore the world with care, curiosity, and respect. We spotlight women-led tourism businesses and share practical, sustainable travel guidance that helps protect the places we love to visit and the communities that call them home.
As a business, we are working towards gaining a B Corp Certification and working with sustainability consultants to ensure we are adhering to sustainable business practices.
